About us
I formed WMA in 2009, after working in and around video production since 1998. The original intent was to work with local companies, helping them realise the benefit that video brings to their respective businesses. Over time, those local clients have extended further afield, taking me across the UK, Europe and beyond!
Throughout that time my philosophy has always been the same; to work alongside clients to develop video that maximises all opportunities. Also, as a corporate producer, be realistic in achieving the best results working around real working environments and people.
As a self shoot director, I can be flexible and reactive as no matter how well you plan, things change! Also, as the editor as well, while filming or directing I have the edit in mind and can adapt accordingly to ensure the ultimate brief is achieved. However, when needed I can pull in freelance resources to bolster production meaning cost is relative to a project and return on investment and not an onerous overhead trying to be recovered..

Creative Approach
I am a little old school and very much endorse face to face meetings, site recces and meeting the people I am to work with or film.
From these gatherings a brief can be formulated which has buy in from all involved early doors. Spending time to prepare a shoot only to find out the person you are interviewing wasn’t expecting you or didn’t know you were filming them, doesn’t go down well with anyone!
Once I have this brief, a concept and basic shoot storyboard can be created. This allows those involved to be fully briefed as to expectation and time needed but as mentioned, a degree of fluidity is needed as plans can change.
Production Process
We can create a lovely looking GANT chart to show all the production elements in a utopian example but when it comes to production schedules, this is very much down to the client as often every day events can get in the way! Some projects I can produce in a few days and some spread over 12 months.
As you’re dealing with me for the whole project, decisions, issues, problems, praise can all be dealt with quickly and efficiently without the need to ‘I’ll just go and check with my manager!!!’. This is your project, produced by WMA but very much as part of your team, not just a supplier. However, my years in the industry means I can get on with it without needing a handhold at all time. In my experience, this is the only way to deliver project on time and on budget.
Services
Whatever you commission WMA to produce, it all come through me. If it’s not me filming, then it will be people I have worked with for many years who share my same work ethic. I have the ability to upscale as the brief requires and bring in talent and skills as needed rather than have all the costs regardless. Our bank of legendary freelancers bring years of experience to any project, whatever the brief!
Post-Production
In house at WMA acres. We use the latest Adobe software for Premiere Pro. This is supported by After Effects and Photoshop as well as other applications as required
Filming
All camera equipment is capable of 4k and some Netflix approved (not sure if that’s a good thing!). Capable of handling single or multi camera shoots along with all associated lighting, audio and grip equipment
Talent
If you need some professionals to make your production swing then we can source actors and models to suit along with locations and sets, through traditional and less traditional routes!
Drone
Not sure what we did before drones as they lend such a dynamic to any production. Ours can be used indoors and outdoors and due to low weight can deliver shots not always possible with larger rigs.
Voice Over
We have access to a wealth of voices to suit your project but with the benefit of our ‘house voice over’ who offers a great sound for most projects.
Animation
We offer the high end quality you would expect from a large post production facility, but at very competitive prices.
3D animation, 3D modelling, character design and animation, architectural visualisation, Logo Animations, special effects, motion graphics and all manner of design and visualisation projects.
Our Projects
Videos are very personal and specific to the client and targeted to their needs and customers. It’s a bit like clothing, the same outfit doesn’t always look right on another person!!
